What is the Employability Fund?
A National Training Programme for unemployed people who want to gain the skills and experience needed to get a job. LAMH Recycle Ltd are funded by Skills Development Scotland to deliver the Employability Fund within North and South Lanarkshire for people aged 16-17 and 18+.
The aim of the Employability Fund is to support people to gain full time employment, progress to Further Education or a Modern Apprenticeship.
What programmes can I take part in?
Recycling – Logistics – Collections – Business Admin – Reception – Customer Service/Retail
What else do I need to know about the Employability Fund?
- The personalised training programme will include industry specific knowledge and understanding, work experience, employability skills, core skills and personal development.
- Every trainee is given an Individual Training Plan which will be agreed and reviewed on a regular basis
- Up to 30 hours a week – Monday to Friday.
What do I learn?
It depends at what stage you join. At Stage 2 you’ll improve your employability, personal development and core skills. During Stage 3 you’ll be prepared for employment, college or a modern apprenticeship. In both stages you’ll be able to gain recognised qualifications and valuable work experience.
Will I receive a formal qualification?
All trainees will undertake a formal SQA qualification e.g. Certificate of Work Readiness, Employability Award, Core Skills as well as undertake soft skills training e.g. Motivation, Assertiveness, Goal Setting, Confidence Building.
Will I get paid?
Depending on your circumstances you could get a training allowance of £55 a week plus travel expenses
